Final Fantasy 16 Set for PC Release with Exciting New Features and DLC Options

Gamers are in for a treat because Final Fantasy 16 is scheduled to launch on PC in the upcoming month. Square Enix has confirmed the PC release of Final Fantasy 16, which will happen over a year after its exclusive launch on PS5. The widely acclaimed action RPG will launch on Steam and the Epic Games Store on September 17.

Gamers have the opportunity to experience a complimentary trial version that is available on all supported systems. This demo allows players to experience the initial hours of the game and includes a unique 'Eikonic Challenge' mode designed specifically for it after completing the opening chapter of the narrative.

Gamers will have the ability to transfer their story progress to the full version, which necessitates a significant 170GB of free storage space.

Along with the announcement, a new trailer has been released for viewing. The Standard Edition of Final Fantasy 16 can be pre-purchased now, along with the Complete Edition which includes the original game and two downloadable content chapters—Echoes of the Fallen and The Rising Tide—both of which were released on PS5 following the initial launch.

Players have the option to buy the DLC chapters separately or as part of the Final Fantasy 16 Expansion Pass, which contains both. Pre-ordering on either the Steam or Epic Games Store grants access to bonus in-game items, including the Brave Blade Weapon, a Cait Sith Charm (an accessory that boosts Gil), and the “Sixteen Bells” Orchestrion Roll.

Earlier in the year, Naoki Yoshida, the producer of Final Fantasy 16, mentioned that the game would run more efficiently on advanced PCs compared to the PS5, with the development team observing frames per second exceeding 100 on certain setups.

In its five-star review, TechRadar Gaming described the title as an excellent representation of narrative-driven gaming, featuring engrossing storytelling and cinematic combat that draws players into its intricately crafted world.
